New Scotland Taffy

My goal for this project was originally was to create an interesting package design to house candy in, which eventually expanded into a way to do so while also marketing the east coast. When designing my packaging, I tried to select notable things that are associated with Nova Scotia and the coast, deciding upon a lighthouse, Halifax harbour/Theodore Tugboat and lobster. I attempted to make each package stand strongly on its own, visually, while also collectively working with the other two packages, which I feel they manage to do through the use of consistent colours, art style and positioning. When designing the logo and name, I wanted to go with something that fit the theme/style. I chose the name New Scotland Taffy (Nova Scotia is Latin for New Scotland) and based the look off a merger of the Scotland flag and coat of arms.
